No, the house on Broderick Street is not one of the Painted Ladies – they are located on Steiner Street close to Alamo Square park.
Where is the real ‘Full House’ house?
The Golden Gate Bridge and the Painted Ladies both made appearances in the opening credits, helping to solidly identify the Tanner family’s hometown. The show’s popularity and weekly view of the Painted Ladies, a row of seven Victorian homes, the fame and easy recognition they have today. Their street is just across from the Alamo Square Park, and they’ve become known as Postcard Row. Even though Full House filmed almost entirely in the studio, Full House has created one of the most iconic establishing shot locations ever. The house used as the Tanner home has become one of the top tourist attractions in San Francisco. Unfortunately, the front door is no longer red, but that doesn’t mean the house isn’t easily recognized.
Fuller House
The baseball hat he wears driving the car across the Golden Gate Bridge is one example, but the hat he wears to take D.J. And Stephanie fishing on Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco hammers this point home. Luckily it was the 80s and he fit right in, but we may not need to bring that style back. It's the stuff that memories are made of, and if you’ve ever watched the show, you can probably see the family in the car, on the iconic bridge, even before reading the description of it. It’s even better that they’re in a convertible because that’s one of the best ways to enjoy the iconic bridge.

The sitcom’s opening credits showed actors Bob Saget, John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Jodie Sweetin, Candace Cameron Bure and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen as they cruised in a car on the Golden Gate Bridge. The show's theme song, “Everywhere You Look,” played as the Tanner family was seen hanging out around San Francisco, visiting parks and landmarks.

Whenever I'm guiding a tour in San Francisco, I can usually look forward to certain specific questions, and one of the more popular queries is about the Full House location. The legendary property last changed hands in 2020, when previous owner Jeff Franklin sold the house to an undisclosed buyer for $5.3 million. Originally built in 1883, the iconic home is a fine example of exquisite Italianate, Victorian architecture. This has naturally turned into heaps of fans swarming the San Francisco house, which didn’t sit quite well with Franklin’s neighbors, as the influx of fans disturbed the peace of the affluent, otherwise quiet community. And we were all lucky to get a chance to relive that once Saget reprised his role as Danny, the caring, compassionate TV host/neat freak, in Netflix’s Fuller House.
Fans of the sitcom gather outside of the Victorian-style home built in 1883 to snap photos pretty often. Unfortunately, it is a private residence, so you are not allowed inside. Still, it’s worth a trip to 1709 Broderick Street in San Francisco to visit the abode if you can’t get enough of Full House reruns. Anyone But You finally made its Netflix streaming debut, which is exciting news for rom-com fans everywhere. As you watch the movie, you might be wondering where Anyone But You was filmed and if you can visit the breathtaking beaches, cliffs, and other locations in real life. Although the series didn’t film in the house, it was used for its exterior shots.
Used the phrase “Oh Mylanta” in several episodes, and we guess that if she caught a fish, this phrase would have been uttered again. Then, just about everything else was filmed at the Warner Brothers Studio. It's amazing what can be done with a film shoot location, although even professionals like the Full House creators had some minor glitches. One of our favorites is that the downstairs of the house had two sets of stairs – one in the kitchen and one in the front entryway and living room.

Towards the end of the episode, the Tanner family becomes stranded on a deserted island, thanks to Danny Tanner’s Clipboard of Fun. The family gets capture by a group of natives, but it turns out they are just performers in a luau show. Uncle Jesse ends up performing the Elvis hit Rock-a-Hula to end the episode.
